DVTG starts shipments for Samsung. Company: DVTG, Samsung. In late August DVTG signed a contract with South Korean freight forwarding company on the cargo delivery of Samsung. On Septembere 3 the first train with the companies products was loaded in Vostochny port. The train will be unloaded at DVTG's own terminal Tuchkovo, the Moscow Region. By the end of 2008 the company is going to ship more than 3700 TEU on this route.

A new regular terraqueous route to open in Asia. China, Russia, The Republic of Korea and Japan have signed an agreement of collaboration in transport sphere. The sides plan to open a regular terraqueous route, connecting their ports. The line of 800 nautical lines length is planned to be launched in this October. It is to start in Hunchun city (North-Eastern China), then reach the Russian port of Zarubino by land, and then go through the South Korean port of Sokchkho to Japaneese Niigata. With te new transport corridor, it is planned to take only two days to get the goods from North-Eastern China to Japan, which allows to reduce the cost price of cargo transportation. read more

HHI lays down new tanker for PRISCO. Company: Hyundai Heavy Industries, PRISCO. The new series of tankers for PRISCO is being built according to the schedule, and so HHI laid down the tanker Zaliv Vostok. The vessel is being built using high technologies and meets all conventional standards. The new tanker will replenish the PRISCO fleet in January 2009. The series of ships which were given the names of the Far Easten bays includes six tankers with the deadweight of 100 000 tonnes each designed according to ice class 1C under the classification of DNV.

A Russian mission of Woojin Selex company (South Korea) sets about assembling and start-adjusting work for launching a thermoplastic automat department on a Samsung Electronics Kaluga plant in Obninsk. A ground connection line with Korea is constructed. Company: "TransTeleCom" and "Korean Communications". The TransTeleCom joint-stock company and "Korean Communications" of the Korean Communications Ministry had constructed and commisioned a new fibre optics communication line on the Hasan - Tumangan section. The connection is organized with a digital outfit of the STM-1 level with the ability of future traffic capacity increasing. The Hasan - Tumangan section is an important part of a large project, which suspects constructing a railway corridor, connecting Korea with Russia and Europe. A new service from FESCO. Company: FESCO. FESCO has launched a weekly service connecting Shanghai, Ningbo and Shenzhen to the Black Sea ports of Ilichevsk and Odessa via Singapore. Connection can be made with other ports as well as to ports in Korea and Vietnam thanks to FESCO's intra Asia network. The service deploys seven ships between 2600 and 2800 TEU.

The Korean Autonomous Region presentation in Vladivostok. A presentation of the government of the Yanbian-Korean Autonomous Region, located in the Chineese province of Tszilin took place in Vladivostok. Not only some leaders of the Korean regional government came to meet buisnessmen of Primorie and the administration of the city and the region, but also the representatives of more than 40 largest constructing, constructiong material producing, seafood processing, woodworking, mining, trading and foodstuff companies of the province. The Yanbian Korean Autonomous Region is located in the Easten part of the province of Tszilin and takes over a quarter of it's square. YKAR is situated on a junction of three countries: China, Russia and Korea. The advantages of it's geografical location attracts to the region lots of attention from the world community. Commercial and industrial partnership between Russia and YKAR is permanently developing. Two international exhibitions are planned to be held there soon: The Third International Trade and Investments Forum (August, 28-30, Yantszy) and The Fourth Trade and Investments of the North-East Asia countries (September, 2-6, Chanchun). read more

"RailTransAuto" has opened a new terminal. Company: "RailTransAuto" The filial company of "Russian Railways" and one of the Russian leading motor-vehicle transportres, "RailTransAuto", has opened a new "Mikhnevo" railway terminal for transfering motor-vehicles. It's square is over 15 hectares, and it is situated in Stupino region in Moscow oblast. The cars with motor-vehicles are to enter the new "Mikhnevo" terminal from Korea and Japan through the Far-Easten seaports, from Europe through the seaports of Finland and Kaliningrad oblast, from China through Zabaikalsk and through other railway routes. The motor-vehicles for sale in the regions of Russia are going to be sent from Mikhnevo also by railway after custom registration. read more

Tagaz summed up it's sales for the first half-year. Company: Tagaz. During the first half of the 2008'th year, Taganrog Autocar Factory had sold 56 558 cars. 1062 Hyundai Elantra cars were also included in the report index. This model production started this year and it was gradually coming out into the planned monthly ranges. So, in compare with the same period of 2007 year, Tagaz sales were almost doubled - they rose up for 88%. The full-scale KIA Sorento manufacture in Izhevsk. Company: KIA Motors, IzhAvto. The full-scale production of Kia Sorento utility vehicle, including welding, painting and assembling of the car, has began on Izhevsk car factory. PRISCO lays down keel of new tanker. Company: PRISCO. The keel of PRISCO's tanker which is the lead ship of the series consists of seven tankers was laid down at STX Shipbuilding company in South Korea. The traditional ceremony, symbolizing the beginning of the ship construction, was hold with the participation of the representatives of PRISCO, classification society Lloyd's Register and SXT Shipyard. New step to the Transkorean main-line project realization. Company: Russian Railways, the port of Rajin. The North Korean government had registered a Russian-Korean joint venture for constructing a modern container terminal at the port of Rajin and the Transkorean main-line modernization in order to annexate Transsyberian Main-line. The joint venture was registered in a special economic area of Rason for 49 years. The founders of the company were "Russian Railways" public corporation and the direction of the port of Rajin. Russian share inn the authorized capital stock was planned to be 70%, and 30% for North Korea. According to the agreement, Russia would give the investments, and Korea would give the interest of the third mooring line and the bordering area. read more

Irkutsk is to get new blood-brother city. A meeting with the Kwandong university delegation (Gangneung, South Korea) took place at the administration of Irkutsk. During the talks, the chance to make the cities blood-brothers was discussed. Russia carries out it's commitments of supplying black oil to North Korea. During the six-side nuclear debates, which passed on the Korean Peninsula, a substitute Foreign Secretary of the Russian Federation A. Borodavkin told that Russia had carried out it's commitments of supplying black oil to North Korea as a humanitarian aid for the first half of 2008 year: 100'000 tons by two parts of 50'000 tons each. The leader of the Russian delegation also added that Russia was planning to supply 100'000 tons more approximately near October, 2008. A new motor transport joint venture to appear in Russia. Company: Kintetsu World Express Inc and Unico Logistics Co Ltd. Japanese Kintetsu World Express Inc (KWE) company and South Korean Unico Logistics Co Ltd (Unico) declare to establish a motor transport joint venture on a par. The first Korean graduation in Omsk. The first handing of first class degrees for the first graduation of korean students took place at the Omsk state communications university. Korea plans to buy 32 Russian Ka-32 helicopters. According to The Hankyoreh (Korean newspaper), in 2013 South Korea plans to begin the delivery of russian Ka-32 helicopters in order to use them during the marine military operations. A stress in the international relations has made the military administration of Korea decide to hasten the purchase and to finish the delivery in 2019, not in late 2020, as it was expected before. PRISCO launches a new tanker. Company: Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), PRISCO. A new tanker has been launched for PRISCO by HHI. During the hours-long procedure Zaliv Amursky, which was being built at the dry dock within six months, has been undocked berthing at the quay wall of HHI for continuing the construction work. The new tanker will be delivered to the customer in 1,5 months.

Moving assembly of KIA cars to RosLada Company: SOK Group. Russian privately owned car manufacturer SOK Group is considering moving the assembly of Kia cars to the RosLada plant in Syzran (Samara Region) if IzhAvto, where the South Korean cars are currently assembled, is sold to Russia's largest automaker, AvtoVAZ. RosLada, which assembles Kia Spectra and Kia Sorento models, can expand the line up by proceeding Kia Cerato.

Assembling Korean cars in Saint-Petersburg. Company: Hyundai. Hyundai is going to assemble a low-cost car in Saint-Petersburg based on KIA C'eed and Hyundai i30. The automobiles will be sold in Russia and Westen Europe. This will be a brand-new model Elantra. It is designed for the emerging markets such as Russia, China and Korea. The automobile production will be launched in the mid 2010 in Korea and China and in 2011 in Saint-Petersburg. Hyundai Motor is going to build an automotive plant worth $400 million in Saint-Petersburg with the capacity of 100 000 cars annually.

Car set manufacturing plant in Korea. Company: Tagaz The "Doninvest" company, which ownes "Tagaz" has signed an investmemorandum of understanding with the administrations of Chungam province and Boryon-city, which suspects building a car-assembling plant on their territory.The plant is presumed to get components from the providers and produce the finished car sets for Hyundai, and also Tager and Road Pertner (ex-Ssang Yong models). The size of investments in the project is $650 millions. Construction of container terminal at the port of Rajin. 24.04.08 Company: The RZD public corporation. By the contract, signed in order to incarnate the project in the context of the agreement, The RZD public corporation on one side and the port of Rajin on the other side are founding a joint enterprise. The enterprise is going to provide the attracting of investments for the project and the contractors for realizing of projecting and building works at the road-part from Tumgan to Rajin (52 km) and building the container terminal at Rajin. The joint enterprise is founded for 49 years with the following separation of the parts of the registration capital: 70% to Russia and 30% nj Korea.

Organization of Sochi Winter Olympic Infrastructure. South Korea is going to take part in securing the infrastructure of Winter Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014. This is the official information from the Korean embassy in Moscow.

The Elga coal-field. Company: "Mechel", LG. The project suspects the Elga coal-field settling in Yakutia and the Elegest coke-coal field in Tuva republic. "Mechel" public corporation is going to begin with constructing the 300 kms rail-road, to "Elgacoal" (it 'll cost $900 millions), 60 kms of which were built by the ex-owner of "Russain railroads". Container terminal in Nakhodka. Company: Busan Port Authority (BPA). The administration of BPA jointly with 3 Korean companies: Glowis Co, Daewoo Logistics Corp. and Sinocor Merchant Marine Co is going to build a container terminal in Nakhodka. The cost of the project is over $ 109 millions. It is going to be the first foreign investition of the BPA company. The russian parthner of the project is Far-Easten Transport Group "DVTG". The terminal will be built in three turns and is planned to be completely finished in 2010. It's capacity will be then over 400 000 teu. The first turn will cost $ 28,1 millions and the capacity of the terminal after it will be over 150 000 teu.

Reconstruction of the Transkorean main-line. 22.11.07 Russia and North Korea are ready to establish a joint enterprise for the reconstructure of the railroad.c onnecting the countries. The railroad is presumed to connect the city of Khasan in Russia with the city of Rajin in Korea. The project is going to take over $2,5 milliards of investments.

Opening of the "Lotte Hotel" in Moscow. Company: "Lotte Hotel" corporation, Korea. "Lotte Hotel" corporation is planning to open its branch in Moscow in 2009. The plan is to build the 319-room hotel with 3 restaurants and a spa-centre within the Lotte Trade Centre on Novinskiy Boulevard. Besides, the company is examining the ability to build a large sport-centre (1570 square meters), directed to Russian buisness-elite and diplomatists.

Assemblage of the "KIA" cars in Russia. 17.10.07 Company: KIA Motors Since 2005 the "Avtotor" plant in Kaliningrad and the "Sokia" plant in Izhevsk assemble KIA cars. Container terminal in Tuchkovo. Company: the joint enterprise of South-Korean "Pantos Logistics" company and russian DVTG. DVTG and Pantos Logistics represented the first turn of the "Tuchkovo" container terminal, $ 8,5 millions by the cost. The total cost of the terminal is going to be over $ 15 millions. The total area of the bonded warehouse of the terminal is 540 square meters, and the area of the second turn is planned to be 13-15 thousand sq.m. The terminal is computed for 2 000 containers, and it's turnover of goods is 50 000 teu. According to the company's plans, 20-25 000 teu will pass throug the terminal in 2007 and 50 000 teu in 2008. "Tuchkovo" is expected to be a logistical buffer for elaborating, storing and delivering loaded containers to the plant for South-Korean "LG electronics" company. It will also work with it's empty containers. The terminal will firstly serve the house LG plant in Rouza (not far from Moscow). read more

Kovykta gas project. Company: Gazprom. The project suspects exploiting of the gas condensate field in the Irkutsk region and building a proper gas pipeline for transfering the gas to the republic of Korea. In order to realize the project of Irkutsk region gasification and delivering gas to the industrial users and the citizens, "The east-syberian gas company" was founded. This gas-transfering and marketing company is a joint enterprise of "TNK-VR" on a par with the administration of the Irkutsk region.

The interbank export credit agreement. Company: The Savings Bank of Russia and The export-Import Bank of Korea. The sides have signed an agreement about the interbank export credit to the amount of $50 millions. This agreement stipulates for financing of the Savings Bank of Russia clients' projects for up to 10 years in case they accomplish delivering Korean goods and services to Russia, using the credit resources of the Export-Import Bank of Korea.

Tatarstan-Korean petrochemical company "Tatneft'' public corporation and "LG engineering and construction". The company was founded for building an oil-refining and petrochemical complex in Tatarstan (the cost of the project is over $3 milliards) read more
